Garden City Runners are delighted to host the Welwyn 10K 2026, returning in its much-loved trail format at Panshanger Park.

Now in its fourth year at Panshanger Park, this popular event takes place in the stunning parkland between Welwyn Garden City and Hertford, offering runners a unique opportunity to enjoy a scenic and historic trail route.

  • Course Type: Single lap, fully off-road trail

The Course

This beautifully designed route follows established trails and paths throughout the park, taking runners on a journey through some of its most iconic landmarks. Highlights include:

  • The famous 500-year-old oak tree
  • The newly planted 17,000-tree Queen’s Wood
  • The historic Orangery
  • Scenic sections alongside the chalk stream of the Mimram River

Expect a varied and picturesque course that showcases the very best of the park’s natural landscape.

Family Fun Run

The Family Fun Run will start at 09:45am, shortly after the 10K race begins. This shorter, accessible run is perfect for all ages and abilities, making it a great way for families and supporters to get involved on the day.

  • Entries Close: 21st June (or earlier if sold out)

Entries for both the 10K and the Family Fun Run will remain open until 21st June, or until capacity is reached, so be sure to secure your place early to avoid disappointment.

Community & Charity

The event proudly continues to be part of the Welwyn Festival, with all proceeds donated to local charities that provide vital support within the Welwyn Garden City area and across wider Hertfordshire.

Parking & Facilities

Parking will be available on site at Panshanger Park. Further information, including parking arrangements and event logistics, will be shared closer to the event date in June.
